The nervous system is an important component of these processes but not the controlling component; it must act in concert with (and is often constrained by) the components of the body during development. Our research group is interested in any form of scholarship as it relates to the interface of neuroscience, behavior and developmental biology. We are currently focused on using computational models to understand developmental change in vocal behavior in individuals as well as evolutionary differences between species.
