Endowed by the Starr Foundation, the CV Starr Fellowship program supports postdoctoral positions for neuroscientists with exceptional skills and potential. The CV Starr Fellows Program encourages collaboration across fields, new perspectives and novel approaches, and promotes the Institute as an international center of excellence. Fellows are expected to pursue their research with the guidance and mentorship of one or more core faculty members in the Institute. Work at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute spans from molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches to systems and human cognitive neuroscience, and houses state of the art facilities for experimental research in all of these areas, as well as advanced computational resources that support theoretical and quantitative approaches to neuroscience.Candidates should apply online. We encourage applicants to reach out to their prospective PNI faculty mentor(s) to gauge interest and discuss their research proposal prior to applying.Applications should include a 2-page research proposal; the candidate’s C.V.; and three recommendation letters: one from the candidate’s current advisor (either Ph.D. advisor or postdoctoral advisor, depending on the candidate’s current career stage), a second letter from the candidate’s prospective advisor at PNI, and a further letter from a third scientist who has knowledge of the candidate and their work. The PNI advisor should be either Core or Associated faculty at PNI.A review committee will weigh multiple factors in evaluating applications, including the quality and prospective impact of the research proposal, and the strength of the candidate’s C.V. (scaled by years relative to graduation, meaning that the more time elapsed since graduation, the stronger the expected publication record). Candidates from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply, as well as applicants working across all areas of neuroscience-related research. The next submission period for applications closes September 15, 2024. For inquires, contact the faculty lead, Carlos Brody [email protected]. Reference letters should be submitted through the application portal or emailed to Carlos Brody by October 1, 2024. Application for CV Starr Fellow Postdoctoral Research Associate - C.V. Starr Fellow The Princeton Neuroscience Institute (PNI) aims to recruit several exceptional individuals for our C.V.
