CV Starr Fellowship in Neuroscience
The CV Starr Fellowship program is not currently hiring. Available positions will be posted fall of 2017.
The Princeton Neuroscience Institute (PNI) focuses on interdisciplinary research in neuroscience, spanning from molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches to systems and human cognitive neuroscience. PNI houses state of the art facilities for experimental research in all of these areas, as well as advanced computational resources that support theoretical and quantitative approaches to neuroscience.
Each year, PNI recruits exceptional individuals for our CV Starr Fellowship in Neuroscience. Fellows are encouraged to pursue independent research with the guidance and mentorship of one or more core faculty members in the Institute. We are particularly interested in projects that bridge the research programs of multiple laboratories. Fellows receive a generous salary and a modest annual research budget and also have the opportunity to teach in our Institute programs, subject to approval by the Dean of the Faculty.
Individuals who have recently obtained a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience or areas relevant to neuroscience (molecular biology, psychology, computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics) are encouraged to apply. Note that previous experience in neuroscience is not required. Appointments are made at the rank of Associate Research Scholar for one year and are renewable for up to three years based on performance. Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.
Candidates must apply online at the Office of the Dean of the Faculty website and submit a CV, a list of publications, a statement of research interests and goals, and contact information for three references.
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. is required at time of appointment.
